ORGANISER OF THE HACKATHON: Stand with Ukraine – Charitable Foundation of UCCI

On 13–14 November, the UAnited project brought together young people from across Ukraine for a two-day hackathon dedicated to one of the most urgent topics of our time — strengthening mental resilience during the war.

During 2 days the following topics unfolded:

1) Understanding today’s psychological challenges. Experts Inna Stepanets and Maryna Protas opened the hackathon with an exploration of emotional well-being, digital pressures, and the critical role of education in supporting young people.

2) Rethinking integration and inclusion. Mentors Viktoriia Zapototska and Vadym Ovcharenko shared practical tools for community integration, social inclusion, and retreat-based recovery practices that help restore balance in uncertain times.

3) From ideas to meaningful solutions. Four teams presented thoughtful concepts aimed at improving youth mental health and community support.

The jury selected the winning project led by Viktoriia Zapototska — “Cultural Mosaic: Adaptation and Social Inclusion of Displaced People in Communities” featuring the digital tool “Я ВПОраюсь”.

This hackathon proved once again: Ukrainian youth do not simply endure challenges — they actively build resilience as a new norm
